The Scholars Make Dollars Activity Comic Book is an interactive literacy based coloring book for ages 5-13. It chronicles the experiences of 2 urban high school students (Hotep and Redd) who are on a mission to start their own business. Along the way, Hotep and Redd learn valuable life-lessons, the importance of education, strong values and leadership characteristics that help them not only become successful entrepreneurs, but also great community youth leaders.

COMIC #1 STORY: Issue 1 opens on the last day of school. Hotep is excited about getting all A’s on his report card, but Redd needs to pay for a lost library book before he can get his. Redd’s mother tells him he will need to work in order to pay for the book. So the 2 boys go to a job interview from a posting they saw at their counselor’s office. Both boys show up early for the interview, but only 1 is dressed appropriately. From this point, the boys start learning valuable life lessons through trial and error.

This issue cleverly teaches youth the importance of Dressing For Success and also emphasizes the importance of READING. This book also features Spelling, Comprehension, Writing and other fun and educational activities!
